Before School and After School Care and Holiday Clubs
Every morning we welcome children from 8.00am when there is supervised play until the bell for registration goes at 8.40am which is followed by assembly at 8.45am. Parents are able to drop their children at 8am and go to work or take older children to their schools in the knowledge that pupils at Notre Dame Prep School are safe and cared for by our staff. There is no additional charge for this and many parents take advantage of the opportunity to ‘drop and go’.
At the end of the school day many children stay for various activities, but we also run an after school club where older children can get on with their homework for the first part of the session and younger children are entertained through a variety of activities.
The after school care scheme is properly staffed and the After School Care Manager ensures that the children get a cooked tea which helps keep them going until pick up time. They are properly supervised for homework and there is always help on hand if children are finding a piece of work difficult. The After School Care runs from 3.30pm (time for a drink and biscuit) until 5.40pm. Parents can also use this facility for their children if they are unavoidably delayed and it continues to grow in popularity. There is a charge for the After School Care and the various rates are available from the Bursar’s office.
In the main holidays (Christmas, Easter and Summer) we run Holiday Clubs for the children to enjoy. It provides our parents with an opportunity for supervised and organised play and activities in an environment which they know to be safe and secure.
