News Bulletin 23rd May 2019
Staffing Next Year:
As you will be aware, our classes will reduce by one in September as we currently have two Year 6 groups. It is with sadness therefore that we say goodbye to Mrs Oakley at the end of this term and I am sure that you will join us in saying thank you for all her hard work and the sensitive care of our children over the last few years. We congratulate Mrs Oakley too, on her new position at Town Close and we’re sure that she will be a great asset to the school and its young people.
Miss Grand has opted to reduce her hours after this term and along with Mrs Rowley, will cover Mrs Laudan and Mrs Campbell’s management time. There are some other moves around the school too and this might best be shown like this:
|Prep 1||Mrs Sanders (Miss Houlding is getting married this summer)|
|Prep 2||Mrs Laudan|
|Prep 3||Mr McGrane|
|Prep 4||Mrs Donovan|
|Prep 5||Miss Harris|
|Prep 6||Mrs Bradbury|
The teachers will be supported by our excellent teaching assistants as usual and again it is with sadness that we must say goodbye to another member of staff, Lizzie Adcock who has recently completed her degree and is moving onto teacher training in Oxford. It is also important to let you know that, Serena Smith, who currently works part-time in the office will be full time from September and will be on the front desk in the new extension with Elisa Moore.
We wish them all the very best for after the summer break.
After School Club Friday 24th: This will be running as normal tomorrow. If you wish to book please do so by the end of the day today.
Sports Day Wednesday 3rd July at UEA SportsPark from 1pm: We are very much looking forward to this event. The format will be slightly different to previous years and we will also be having a parents 400 x 100 relay race. If you wish to take part please let Mrs Warne in the office know so we can have a list of parents wanting to take part before the day.
EYFS Sports Day Friday 5th July at school from 2pm: This is going to be a fun event and we are bringing back the egg & spoon and the sack race. Once again parents will be welcome to join in; no need to book your slot though for this one! We will be providing tea and cake for all afterwards.
School Desks: We will be disposing of the old wooden traditional desks shortly that are in the current mobile classroom. If any families or staff would like one to take home you are most welcome. The desks will be allocated on a first come, first served, basis and need to be taken away by the end of the day tomorrow. Let Mrs Warne know in the office if you would like one reserved.
Build Logistics: Just as a little reminder the build logistics letter that was sent out recently to parents is also attached to this bulletin email. Entry to the school from after half term will be via the Caterpillar gate/playground. Thank you in advance for your patience whilst we improve the school facilities.
