Trips and visits play a very important part of life at Notre Dame Prep School. There are three types of trips: residential, educational and fun-based.
All classes will have three trips each year and in the past couple of years these have included: Norwich Castle Museum for theme days such as Romans and Egyptians, Gressenhall Rural Life Museum, Cromer Town and Beach, Sheringham and Norwich Theatres, Sea Life Centre, West Stow, London Natural History Museum, Strangers Hall, Dinosaur Park, Ranworth Broad, Melsop Farm, Wroxham Barns, Camel Park, Local Zoos, UEA Science Days and many other visits.
In addition we have visits to school from performers such as: Punch & Judy Theatre, Puppet Theatre, African Culture & Drum Experience, Beatboxing, Science Group, Children’s Entertainers and other visiting specialists.
One of the greatest highlights for children leaving the school at the end of Year 6 will have been their experience of a French residential trip. In Prep 5 the children get the opportunity to spend a weekend with staff at a residential activity centre. This taster of living away from home, enjoying new challenges prepares them for the longer residential trip that they enjoy in Prep 6.
It is unusual for children to be offered such a wealth of extra-curricular experiences at primary school-age and we endeavour to make their learning as stimulating and memorable as we can.
