Pre Prep at Notre Dame Prep School
In Pre Prep we foster a love of learning using a cross-curricular and topic based approach to early education. Curiosity is celebrated and independence is encouraged. Teaching in Pre Prep is tailored to the needs of individuals, with the children relishing all that Notre Dame Prep has to offer.
At the age of 4, children join Pre Prep from our on-site nursery, local nurseries and from no prior experience of nursery. The start of school life is gentle and child-centred, allowing the children to feel settled and happy in their new classroom. Our experienced staff get to know the individual children quickly, establishing excellent partnerships between home and school life.

We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage and enrich this further with specialist teaching in Music and PE. Our RE curriculum reflects our Catholic ethos and respect of world faiths, which the children explore in meaningful, age-appropriate lessons.
Children in Pre-Prep have many opportunities to develop their own interests, learn to make their own choices and to engage in new experiences, from participating in our Nativity Play, class assemblies and taking part in Sports Day.
Our bright, colourful Pre Prep room incorporates specific areas for learning and play, opening directly onto our designated Early Years outside space.
